Job Summary/Purpose -
To provide diagnostic and therapeutic care in an integrative primary care setting for patients of all ages, with a focus on attaining and maintaining health through nutrition and lifestyle modifications.
Job Description -
Our team is looking for a Licensed Independent Practitioner who meets the following criteria:
Believes that the body is able to heal itself, focusing on empowering the patient to learn what their body is saying
Believes that the patient and/or parent is a valuable member of their own health care team, and is committed to supporting them in making educated decisions
Provides applicable education during each patient visit, utilizing our longer patient visits to ensure patient understanding of therapeutic plan
Works free from insurance plans, building a care plan that is best for the individual patient situation
Agree with the essential health philosophies of Be Well Clinic, and practice within those guidelines
Obtain training as a Certified GAPS Practitioner within a year of hire, depending on available training dates
We are looking for someone to fill this role either as a contractor or as an employee. Health benefits are not offered at this time. Starting hourly rate will be based on experience. Opportunities for pay increase will be presented after a trial period. Each member of our practitioner team must agree to and sign our Statement of Faith and Be Well Clinic Philosophy of Health Statements. No experience necessary, we will provide training and teaching in our health care model.
Qualifications -
Licensed to practice in the state of Colorado, license in good standing with no pending litigation
Able to commute to our clinic locations in the Northern Colorado/Denver region
Able to work with a team to coordinate patient care
Commitment to timely and complete patient record keeping in our EMR
Able to agree with and sign our Statement of Faith and Be Well Clinic Philosophy of Health Statements
Passionate about protecting the medical freedom of our patients
Experience performing intake on patients and maintaining patient records and care team coordination
Comfortable interacting with other providers and facilities
Willing to be flexible with daily office flow
Strong written and verbal communication skills including adequate typing skills
Main Duties and Responsibilities -
Primary care assessments, including infant and pediatric patients
School physicals and corresponding paperwork
Evaluate and grant medical exemption paperwork as appropriate
Contribute to educational content for online social media platforms and website
Share call on our Sick Line during business hours
Supervise RNs, MA, and office staff as necessary
Complete continuing education to keep current with the clinic’s health philosophies
Acknowledge lab results and ER notes and take needed action in a timely manner
Communicate follow up needs to office staff for further action
Write order for labs, imaging, etc. as needed
Coordinate with RNs and other practitioners for lab ordering and diagnostic needs
Participate in staff meetings
Communicate with patients, including on the phone, email, and through the EMR platform
Coordinate with the office staff for accurate and timely billing of patients
Hours and Wages-
24 hours per week, can be either full or half days. Hourly wage starting at $40-$50 per hour depending on experience. Potential increase in number of hours per week and hourly wage possible based on experience and availability.
