Lingual Neuro Testing
Functional Clinical Assessment (FCA)
The Functional Clinical Assessment is a process that allows a trained practitioner to identify organ systems that are under stress to be able to quickly support a body’s need. Every organ system is surrounded by a network. When an organ system becomes stressed (damaged or deficient), blood and/or lymph is shunted to these networks in an effort to draw the necessary nutrients to support the organ. This collection of fluid takes up space at the organ system and registers as tenderness (or sometimes a tickle) in the body.
The Functional Clinical Assessment is completed by palpating a series of points which correlate to specific organs or systems in the body, and assessing a client’s tenderness to each palpating. While a tenderness is subjective to each person, it allows the practitioner to connect directly with the body's innate response to nutritional deficiencies.
LNT Process
Lingual-Neuro Testing is a valuable biofeedback tool that enables practitioners to determine the usefulness of a nutritional supplement before it is ingested. LNT accesses the body's innate ability to discriminate between what it needs, and what it does not need, in order to correct a specific problem, for example, a weak organ or a nutritional deficiency.
Because of the neural or electrical connection between the brain and organs, we can place a specific nutrient on the tongue and the presence of this nutrient is registered by the brain. If the nutrient is exactly what a specific organ system needs to restore function, we get direct feedback within 15 seconds via a change in tenderness rating.
This process of lingual-neuro testing allows a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner to develop a personalized plan for each client, rather than (or in addition to) generic protocols. By communicating directly with a client’s body in this way, we can recommend nutrients for which the body is showing a need. This allows clients to start nourishing their bodies correctly immediately rather than attempting to figure out what their bodies need by trial and error.
